So she spoke. Or maybe not.

I was having a discussion with the man over dinner on our much-talked about (and much awaited for, I must say) vacation plans. With work commitments and a boss that grants me only 3 days of leave (that’s less than 72 hours really), our options are as skimpy as the Caesar dressing on ma salad (no thanks to the chef).

“Bali?”

“The bomb blast”

“Oh.”

“Krabi?”

“Been there”

“But not with me”

“Doesn’t matter”

“Says who?”

“Me”

“I know a lot more insightful places in Krabi than you ever do in KL”

“You’ve never been there, mister”

“True. But I read. And by reading, I know more.”

“So tell me something about Krabi”

“They have beaches. Pristine beaches. Beautiful beaches.”

“Name one”

“The Famous Krabi Beach?”

*chokes on a burnt crouton*

“I’ll make the bookings for 2 nights in Renaissance, KL. Are you driving or are we flying?”

“We’ll fly. I’ll book the flight.”

So KL it is. Well at least I know where the good foods are. And there’s nothing like being close to home knowing that you won’t have to waste any precious hours in traveling. 72 hours. And less.
